ACE In-Bond 01 – When should I report my In-bond Arrival and Export?

In-Bond Arrival
As soon as your bonded shipment entered the US, and was allowed to proceed, the In-Bond movement began. The bond was opened. When the shipment is cleared for in-bond movement at the port of entry, it is opened. You will need to notify CBP within 48 hours of the arrival of your bonded shipment to close out the bond or “cancel” it when it reaches its final destination in the US.

U.S. In-Bond Destination
A port within CBP’s inland territory where the goods will be moved in bond. This port cannot be your port of arrival, it must be on the “far side” of the United States.

Export of In-Bond
As with in-bond shipments of type “Transportation and Exportation,” you will need to confirm that the bond is in the received status and that the export has already taken place.
