Discuss the local port policy with the port director. CBP ports employ a variety of audit procedures to verify bonded movement, including presenting paper in-bond documents at arrival and departure ports. While carriers should continue to provide paper copies of the CBPF 7512 at arrival and/or exportation, this does not change the requirement that electronic reporting must be provided. Arrivals and exports must still be reported via ACE except where exempted.
