The Application for Cargo Discharge Permission (DNC) is a process for obtaining permission to discharge cargo before the cargo is discharged (after the Shipping Position Date (SPD) notification). This process requires an application for each Ocean (Master) B/L. Both the carrier and shipping agents are obliged to file.
