International Mail is a U.S. shipment type allowing mail to be released from a foreign postal service to the US Postal Service via a contract carrier.
In order to qualify, the shipment must move directly from the foreign postal service, such as Canada Post, and must only contain letter class mail or correspondence. Merchandise would require a formal or informal entry and would clear under other shipment types.
