ACI eHBL 262 – What are the implications of “timing” with the Deconsolidation Notice versus paper remanifests?

The Deconsolidation Notice is triggered when the warehouse “arrives” the shipment, which differs from the paper environment where Customs status was updated when the terminal received the “validated” paper re-manifests. This created a gap between Customs status and physical arrival, allowing time for booking reservations and arranging pickups. However, with the Deconsolidation Notice triggered on “warehouse arrival,” Customs status is only known when the goods physically arrive. Stakeholders must consider this new timing requirement when making gate reservations or dispatching drivers.
