ACAS data submissions are accessed by a number of different government agencies in addition to CBP in order to facilitate the processing of commercial imports and exports. These agencies may include the Department of Agriculture (USDA), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and other agencies that have regulatory authority over specific types of goods. In addition, ACAS data may be shared with other government agencies as needed for law enforcement or national security purposes.
It is important to note that the access to ACAS data by these agencies is governed by strict rules and regulations, and the information is only used for the specific purposes for which it is intended.
