The Continuous Customs Surety Bond guarantees that the importer will pay all customs duties and penalties assessed and charged by US Customs. Bonds are valid for a year and are automatically renewed. There is a $500,000 continuous customs surety bond requirement, or 10% of the previous year’s duty payment.
