ACI eHBL 283 – What is the difference between single shipments and consolidations?

Each single shipment of imported goods requires information according to CBSA regulations. The CBSA identifies one shipper and one consignee for each shipment. When multiple cargo documents are grouped together and sent to the CBSA as a consolidated shipment, additional cargo information is required to identify one shipper and one consignee for the consolidation, which may consist of multiple single shipments.
