Submission of advance CSA cargo is optional in some scenarios. The existing paper process for reporting CSA goods at the port will continue to be used.
If the CSA shipment is a full truck load and no other shipments are on board, both the trip and the cargo are optional.
If it is a mixed load with other non-CSA shipments, an ACI trip is required but the submission of cargo is optional for all CSA loads on board.
If a CSA carrier is crossing with an empty trailer and the driver is also FAST or CRDP, an ACI trip is not required.
