The Canada Border Services Agency’s (CBSA) Single Window Initiative (SWI) enables the sharing of commercial import data between the Canadian government and importers. The initiative strikes a balance between the needs of government departments and agencies and the competitive business environment. Along with the CBSA, nine government departments and agencies representing 38 government programs participate in the Single Window. Two service options are available: Integrated Import Declaration (IID – SO911) and License, Permit, Certificate and Other Documentation (LPCO Image – SO 927).
