ACI eHBL 245 – How can we obtain the primary cargo control number in time to file the eHBL before the vessel departs? (Normally, we only receive it when the carrier issues the arrival notice after the cargo arrives in Montreal.)

It’s important to communicate with your co-loader or carrier regarding the primary cargo control number (CCN). The master co-loader is responsible for providing the primary CCN to all co-loaders in the consolidation, several days prior to loading goods overseas. Each co-loader must also pass on the primary CCN to their own co-load customer. Usually, the co-loader will provide the primary CCN along with their own 8000 CCN, which may become the Previous CCN.
