To check if an HS code is regulated by PGA, users can consult the SWI-IID Regulated Commodities – Data Element Matching Criteria Tables on the CBSA website. Check the required programs for the HS code and go to the PGA tab to see if an exemption process exists. For instance, if the HS code is regulated by ECCC under the vehicle program, there will be an exemption process available. Users only need to provide the additional information marked with a red asterisk. However, if the program requires more information, users must provide that information, such as for TC.
