In case the warehouse is not equipped to receive the Deconsolidation notice, there are three paper-based alternatives available. One option is for the freight forwarder to produce a physical copy of the EDI Decon notice containing the raw data. This approach requires the freight forwarder to have the capability to receive the Deconsolidation notice, allowing them to print the EDI message and present it to the warehouse operator to collect their goods.
The other two alternatives involve obtaining paper-based documentation from Customs. The first option is a Customs-stamped Close Message that can be printed from the portal, while the second option involves a primary manifest that includes 8000 numbers written on the back, which is then stamped by Customs. However, relying solely on these paper-based methods is precarious and could result in unfavorable outcomes.
