CBP’s legacy system used to be called AMS Air, but was later upgraded and moved to ACE (Automated Commercial Environment) platform. They now refer to AMS Air system as ACE AIR or ACE eManifest.

This allows carriers to “arrive” an in-bond shipment and file in-bond, permit to proceed, and local transfers electronically – making things much more efficient overall.
