ACI eHBL 261 – If we file eHBL,...

No. Contrary to some interpretations, the CBSA has clarified that the “In the interim” period mentioned in paragraph 5 refers to the time between the release of CN16-17 on June 29, 2016, and the implementation of a new policy. If an eHBL has been filed, there is no need for an ACI Supplementary, as it only needs to be submitted once within the given time frame. This is advantageous for freight forwarders who have adopted eHBL transmissions, as it eliminates the need for duplicate submissions.
