Termination of a bond means that the term of the bond has ended. No further obligations can be incurred under that bond, but termination does not affect any obligations arising from transactions occurring before termination. A bond may be terminated by either the surety or the principal, and CBP must be notified accordingly. A termination notice must be given at least 15 days in advance.
