The concept of “Wheels Up” is only applicable to the Master Airway Bill (MAWB) CCN and not to eHBL writings. An Integrated Import Declaration (IID) entry can be submitted up to 90 days before CACM/WACM arrival. PARS entry types can be made up to 30 days in advance. According to the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), submitting RMD entries prior to cargo arrival may result in problems. The CBSA may reject these entries if the cargo has not arrived, potentially incurring an AMPS penalty, or only release them upon arrival. There are also no status updates for RMD entries once submitted until they have arrived. The release status will only be advised when the 8000 CCN is released by customs.
