ACI eHBL 152 – What happens when a partial shipment arrives in air freight? Does the same process apply?

The eHBL 8000 information and Close Message should have been submitted based on the complete piece count in the house airway bill data and the contract of carriage. The freight forwarder is not obligated to modify their eHBL data; however, if the forwarder chooses to transfer the arrived cargo to their CW sufferance warehouse or if the importer wishes to clear the arrived portion of the cargo through Customs, then the eHBL must be amended. This amendment would involve updating the piece count to match the “first part” or arrived piece count. To proceed, the Customs Broker would be required to submit an entry such as an “Entered to Arrive” entry.
