If an Importer Security Filing (ISF) is not filed, filed late, filed incompletely, not withdrawn when required, or does not match the Bill of Lading, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) may impose penalties of up to $5,000 per shipment. In certain cases, CBP may also hold the shipment until the proper ISF has been received and reviewed.
