Error code E6111 indicates that the user is trying to resubmit a filing with the same information (such as MBL/HBL/Vessel Name) that has already been approved by NACCS. To update any information, the user should proceed with an amendment by clicking “update.” However, for message type CHR, the HBL and MBL cannot be amended once they have been submitted and approved. In this case, the user should submit CHR with function code 1 to cancel the filing. To receive a cancellation acknowledgement, the user should change the vessel call sign to any numbers and submit, which will result in a code of 00000-0000-0000. After cancellation, the user can resubmit the same HBL and MBL without encountering error code E6111 because it will be treated as a new filing.
