Automated Manifest System (AMS) Air was a legacy system used by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to collect and process electronic cargo manifests for air shipments entering or exiting the United States. It is now part of the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) or ACE Air, which is the primary system used by CBP for processing trade data and transactions. ACE Air allows air carriers, brokers, and other parties involved in the import and export of air cargo to transmit manifest data to CBP electronically. This helps to streamline the cargo manifest process and improve efficiency at ports of entry.
